Side chair
An item at Metropolitan Museum of Art
A synthesis of motifs appearing in Thomas Chippendale’s "The Gentleman and Cabinet-Maker’s Director" (1762 ed.), the design of this chair’s back splat appears to have originated in Philadelphia.
