Boston & Sandwich Glass Company

An item at Metropolitan Museum of Art

This chalice may have been made by Lutz, a glassmaker for the Boston and Sandwich Glass Company famous for his flower compositions and his fine threaded stemware. Tradition has it that he presented the piece to a fellow employee before the company shut down in 1888.
