Decoration: interior (framing medallion); meander (including, checkerboard) in medallion; Muse (?, 2, remains, headband, 1, chiton, holding, crown: leaf, 1); ground (in exergue) on basin (side A); Muse (?, 4, remains, headband, 2, necklace, 2, chiton, himation, 2, holding, branch of leaves, 1, lyre, 1, plectrum, 1, crown: leaf, 1, aulos, 1) on basin (side B); Muse (?, 4, remains, headband, 3, necklace, 2, chiton, holding, aulos, 1, lyre, 1) under handle; flanking the handle; plant motif (palmette, 3) Condition of the work: the vase is incomplete; glued back together; remade (the basin); minus the foot, the end of a handle and half of the basin; the cup is recomposed from several joined fragments. The fragment deposited by the Metropolitan Museum of New York (NY 1973.127), composed of 7 joined fragments, completes the medallion (meander and 2 muses).
